Typography analysis:
The typography used in films can create an atmosphere to the audience and show what type of thriller the film may be. In the film se7en the font is disorientated and almost rugged. This suggests to the audeince that the film will be a psychological thriller and tense as well as present a lot of mystery.
Shutter island uses a bold font to highlight the focus of the film being on the island. the font is also in red which has connotations of not only violence and death but also love. this suggests to the audience that shutter island may contain more than one aspect of a thriller which could cause mystery throughout the film.
Unlike Se7en and Shutter Island, Halloween uses quite bland typography. The font is bold and white which does not represent the type of thriller that halloween is. certain phrases such as 'HE'S BACK' are emphasised to catch the audiences attention and create an atmosphere. however in general the typography is quite bland and does not suggest much.
